I know it is a bit late, but I have just received my Ion. I am so happy with the light, the construstion is great and beam is great.....The only problem is I am thinking of getting one more (and more) Ion....

I bought a pre-owned Ion recently and it is great. Love that wide beam. Mostly use low, which is plenty bright at night. I see no reason to improve it.

I LOVE my maroon CR 2 Ion!! I have had mine on me since it arrived this past Christmas. And because I love mine so much, I DID score a second one. CONGRATS on yours!!
