Hello guys,

does anybody know what the current-draw of the SureFire P90 and P91 lamp-assembly is? Preferrably measured at 7,4V.

I somewhere read, that the consumption of the P91 is quite monstrous

Thanks in advance,

Timmo.

I was talking about 17500s, as 18650 don't fit in a C3.... even 18500s don't fit :mecry:

You need a Leef body :poke: It nicely fits the fattest 18500s or you can buy one that fits 2 18650s for longer runtime:D

Or an M90 rattlesnake!

I think I'll have this one, as I can choose a fine Lumens Factory bulb, to make the best compromise between output and runtime (which seriously bite each other). I think a HO-9L will do fine.

Combined with the extender for 3X 18500 (1500mAh) I could try an EO-13 which would give me about 40 minutes of staggering 700 Lumens

I like the way you can build your own setup with the M90 and E4. The extenders will also fit the E4! An extender for 3X 18650 will make an extremely long lamp, and is not considered by me.

So either 2X 18650 without extender for runtime and good light output, or 3X 18500 with extender and EO-13 bulb for extreme high output! It's find that all this is possible with one light, isn't it??

Absolutely.......for everyday use, the 2x 18650 HO-9L and for the "need a lot of light" the 3x 18500 (with extender) EO-13......spot on.

nzgunnie has already given the link to an old thread - current draw of popular incan bulbs. It is still a very useful guide, and as you have seen, it has the information you are looking for. The thread itself could do with some updating, as there are bulbs that have released since then and are not covered.

Another extremely useful thread is LuxLuthor's Destructive Incan Bulb Tests. However this is to do with hotwire bulbs only.

I already read the story on compatibility and batteries... a very, very good story, so to say :)

That's why I know, that an 18500 cell won't fit a SureFire, and will be accepted by a Wolf-Eyes light....

Otherwise, I would have ordered 18500s for my C3.... because in my WF-501B a 18650 cell fits! And... they have a noticeable higher capacity!
