I have an E series head and tailcap sitting around collecting dust. I know Fenix-Store carries a Pineapple body that will work but is there anything out there any cheaper?

Aftermarket bodies are usually much more expensive than stock. Nonetheless, try your luck at the Marketplace or at Custom B/S/T, you might get lucky...

Lighthound has some E-E Leef bodies in stock, or you could just look for a Surefire body, depending on what you are trying to build...

My vote is for the Aleph 2x123 body from the Shoppe! It lets me use a Pila 600S!

Go with the Leef, it can take 18650's. I don't think any Aleph E-series body can and it has no pocket clip either, so might as well go with the stock body if you don't want to use 18650's, at least you get a pocket clip. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about Aleph's and 18650's.

I'm looking on the lighthound site and I'm not finding any E-to-E bodies. They've got C-to-C, C-to-E, C-to-M, but not E-to-E bodies. I'm also looking for a more affordable 18650 E-to-E body (both the MirageMan and pineapple bodies are $70 each).

Doh, I could have sworn I saw some E to E, but now I don't see any, sorry 'bout that

Yeah I Know I saw some a few weeks ago but waited to long.

Actually, I did some more digging (I've got a black KL4 incoming with no body or tailcap) and I don't think Leef actually made any E-to-E bodies because he couldn't come up with a 1 piece design that loaded a 18650 from the rear (tailcap) because the E-series tailcap wasn't wide enough for a 18650. It's also the same reason PEU's Pineapple is a 2x123 E-to-E body and not a 18650 body (I had erroneously thought the pineapple was a 18650 body). So it looks like MirageMan makes the only 18650 compatible E-to-E body that is a 2-piece design that loads the cell from the front (head) end instead of the usual back end loading like most lights. I was wondering why it was a 2-piece design when I first saw it and now I know.

Of course, if Beamshot is not after 18650 compatible body like I am, then he has many more options to choose from. That being said... it looks like I may get a black HA Leef C(tail)-to-E(head) 1x 18650 body and a Leef C-tailcap of some sort to match my incoming black KL4. It may seem a bit more expensive ($50 for body + $35 for tailcap =$85) than MirageMan's 18650 body ($70), but I also don't have an extra E-tailcap lying around so it works out for me.

All E series bodies load from the font. Even AA's are too big to load from the rear. There may be some custom bodies that are exceptions to this, but I've never seen one.

Yeah , good luck trying to find one of those.

I was going to say...I haven't seen those for sale anywhere in quite a while.

I really like the stock E body because the the great pocket clip and trim design. The knurling makes it very utilitarian also.
