My E35 has arrived and it is clearly using an XP-E2. Very white and clean beam.

Thanks, unfortunately my E35 arrived today and it uses a XP-E. Nice and clean beam so I still like it very much.

Edit: I just brought a solder iron so if I can somehow get the head off, I can maybe change it to a XP-E2. I brought the iron because I want to upgrade some of my old light with XP-E to XP-G or XT-E.
