Completely not true. If anything, rebels can take more current because there are no bond wires.
I have the Fenix pd30 which I left on for 30 minutes accidentally. It was in my basement laying on a table with turbo on. I went to help my dad and forgot that it was on in turbo mode. It was fairly hot, but it still worked fine after I shut it off and let it cool for a while. I didn't see anything wrong after that hapened.

I run an LD2 Q5 on 'Turbo' for at least 20 minutes non-stop almost every day, and have done so for several years. It's just fine.

Me either! Though I haven't heard of a LD2 Q5... LOL.I didn't realise the LD2 Q5 had been out for several years
No, I mean the LD2 Q5. I got two from the first batch of them. This is my second year cycling with them with them.....Me either! Though I haven't heard of a LD2 Q5... LOL.
He must be using it as a bikelight for commuting or something similar.
I suspect he means the p4 L2D or maybe a different light altogether!
Words of wisdom as always.
It's not hard to make a light that is bright, just as it's not hard to make a car that goes fast in a straight line. The real challenge is making it reliable, with a good UI, efficient, etc.
Well I was unimpressed with my L2D Q5 too, and returned it. Good UI? Come on, help me. The L2D has one of the worst UIs I've seen. It doesn't even memorize the last setting, so when you turn it on in the middle of the night you never know if it will turn on high or low or SOS. What a crap.

The one I had didn't turn on in low mode with the bezel loosened, it would turn on in the next level, always. So if I turned it off in medium, when i turned it on again it would be on high.

Well, I'm not even answering to your troll attitude about idiocracy... because trolls do not understand other's opinions.
But yes, I still think the UI is terrible, and that's MY opinion. The one I had didn't turn on in low mode with the bezel loosened, it would turn on in the next level, always. So if I turned it off in medium, when i turned it on again it would be on high.
