Basically what im trying to do is have and and L2D and possibly my P1D polished locally by a Local Polish guy who says "Type 3 aluminum coating no problem" He says its easy to polish the casing to mirror finish with his shop... or something like that.
Can I get some advice on removing the guts from the 2 fenix'seses
I think hes gonna stick the body in the acid bath or whatever he uses to attack Type III aluminum coatings.
The cicuit board is pretty much in there...:green:
I know you guys do this stuff,...
Thanks:D

hmm.. i dunno. there isnt a snap ring in the p1d head. maybe L1d..
Its like... theres threading, and right where it ends is circuit board.

However there seems to be on 2 sides of the board (which sits right where threading ends) 2 small pieces of aluminum on opposite sides. Im thinking there holding the board in and could possibly be pulled apart. But its real thin and not much gap between. they are kind of extending from the thread but not apart of the thread design itself.

But then again you could be right. I just cant see how the snap ring pliers would work. Most ones Ive seen are pretty big for driveshaft joint parts. etc..
Maybe RC car snap ring pliers.

I dont think I can "boil-in-bag" this out.

the l2d is in the mail. so i dont have one yet to do that.
it looks like you just unscrewed it,
The P1d head doesnt look like that. While even though the photo shows the exposed led in the l2d ,,,does all that metal just 'come out' ?????

It looks like that stuff is jammed in there stuck.
