I have a set of these and so far so good, I live in Oregon so they get wet and have worked out great, taking them out next weekend for a playing in the woods trip. Very light and comfortable.

I completely understand. But when the sky opens up & you get views like the one below you forget about all of the hard work, tired legs, cold & cost of the gear. Views like this make it worth every second.
