FoxFury MF 1000 Tac-Fire NINE Cree LED Flashlight - 1,000 Lumens

Yes, I am on the fence for this one.
Unfortunately there are some not so cool things to consider besides the "interesting" price (lighthound asked FoxFury about the questions I had):
- not regulated, but they didn't exactly tell how it works
- clear anodised, meaning typeII
- no runtime curve supplied, so the specs remain dubious
- it is bigger and heavier than you think when looking at it
On the bright side, it runs on primaries
... and has 9 Crees. But then again ... thinking that 7 Crees to fit in a SF M6 head ... I have to ask myself if I can justify such a big monster. Will I ever use it?
I admit that I am drawn to this one though

I think the QuadStar Phazer using 4 x Cree, 3 x C batteries, 600 lumens, and $230 sounds a lot better.

If you want something to beat this thing, Elektrolumens has the Stunner-P4 with 8 x SSC P4s, 3 x D batteries, 1200 lumens, and half the price ($499). (at bottom of page)

Granted, there have been some manufacturing delays with EL lately, so I don't want to get into that in this thread - I just don't think 1 grand for that light is great when you can get something more powerful for half the price.
