I wanted to go on record as saying that not only does Don make the finest lights on the planet, but that he is a swell guy too. I have enjoyed his interaction on these forums as a participant in the discussions and the originator of discussions as much as I have enjoyed his lights!

Don is creative, well informed, intelligent and even a prety good speler too and I have the crazy notion that he is an enthusiast first and an entrepreneur second; this too is very refreshing because it makes him an even better entrepreneur in my opinion.

Don, here is my official thank you for who you are and what you do!

He's kinda cute, too

+1 Good call Goatee, the lights speak for themselves and I would buy them even if Don were a complete ***. His passion for what he does is tangible in the quality of his lights.

The fact that he's one of the good guys and a pillar of CPF is a real bonus.

Three cheers for the trumping light meister!

As mentioned in another post, he is a great writer. Cool and calm, but still be able to get the points across. Reading his writing, reasonable people will see the light:D, but dump and irrational people would scratch their heads.

McGizmo thinks that if Goatee and McGizmo were to pool their resources on a good day that between them they might have enough sandwiches for a picnic; both short of a picnic on their own. :nana:

I have been accused of many things and some even good but only the shadow really knows and with light, the shadow is cast aside.

Recently, I was accused of false modesty and "wisdom".

Let the record show:

Goatee,
In another thread that I didn't respond to, you brought out some of my senilty issues and if it weren't for a bad memory as to where the image was, I would offer a self portrait that would certainly close this thread down and leave many of you in fear of bad dreams! :nana:

I thank all of you for the benefit of doubt and for not looking too closely at me or my efforts.

If the sun comes up and we are fortunate to be there to greet it then may we find a smile within and share it with others.

:)>,

Thanks for the smile and the support.

Thanks Don!

P.S. Goatee's cool too....yeah

Goatee,
Blah blah blah

Thanks for the smile and the blah blah blah...

My four year old daughter caught a glimpse of this pic and is now in a catatonic state in the corner of the room. Holding her teddy bear. She had a similar reaction a few months ago when she caught a glimpse of a Goatman pic. Sigh. :ironic:

All kidding aside, Don's known as that "flashlight guy from Hawai'i." They adore my 'Gizmos. For example, yesterday we took the kids on a hike and geocache (in the cold) at Fort Miles in Delaware. We wrapped up the day by climbing up the stairs in an old lookout tower to catch the sunset from 100' up. 2/3rds of the way up the lighting didn't work, so both kids asked me to fire up the "mule." I did and handed it to my daughter, who illuminated the way up to the top. My son, seven years old, used it on the way down. They love my 'Gizmo lights. It was the perfect light for the task.

Besides, Don once owned a Porsche, so he can't be half bad. :eek:oo::shrug::naughty:

I'm not so sure about Goatee though... :duh2:

Chronos,

After numerous similar reports I pulled the picture for the good of the community:nana:

I have also paid restitution to other forum members who were affected by the picture and I will add you to the list... this is an expensive hobby:ohgeez::)

Hi All,
I don't post alot, but I read alot on these forums especially the McGizmo forum. I have never met Don personally, but we have corresponded from time to time. I have purchased 4 of Don's lights, but this isn't what I want to convey here. What some folks may know or not know about Don is his love of the ocean and it's marine life. Don imparts qualities and attributes that any man or women would be proud of, but his humbleness does not disclose this. I want to pass on this link (look at hooked) as a testament to a very kind and generous man that we know as McGizmo.

All my best,
