Got my first good torch, the Fenix LD20 and a diffuser. Using it with Eneloop AA batteries.... such an amazing light!

Can't wait to try this out when it's completely dark. More over, I can't wait to take it to Yosemite for my camping trip!

Thank you everyone who recommended lights! I'm extremely stoked. $75 well spent :)

Great light! Really solid, don't baby it, it will take a beating ( I got 2 for work) Enjoy! :twothumbs

I love mine also. The LD20 was my first purchase about a month ago and I have two new lights on order now! I may be hooked . . . oh well.

My LD20 was my second "real" flashlight purchase, and I'm totally with you -- it's a lovely piece. I actually like it so much, I hate taking it anywhere for fear of scratching it.

Indeed, it's an amazing light. I can't imagine if I had gotten that 1300lm 24W HID light. I may actually get that later on.. or the Fenix TK40. Man these are amazing lights, can't wait to show it off. It already surprises people to see that much light from such a small unit.

The LD20 was my first good light too. We've taken our first step into a larger world. My next light is probably gonna be a TK40 as well. Maybe an LD01 after that. I can't stop. I need more money.

You paid $75?

Hell I only paid like 60 for mine.

$62 at best I think.

Nice, I bought mine a few months ago! First real flashlight for me! I have not been able to convince my parents that I need Eneloops, tho. So I've been running mine on Energizer alky's (I know, I know, bad idea, but I don't use turbo for more than a few minutes at a time). Right now, I'm trying to convince my parents to allow me to purchase a Ra, and rechargeable CR123's. Tis not working out so well...:sigh:

I'm thinking that the $75 was the entire cost -- including the diffuser and batteries...

Yep. It was actually $67.11 for the whole thing. $62.95 for the LD20, $5 for the diffuser, $5 for USPS Priority and the CPF discount code.

Batteries I already had (16 Eneloop AAs, 4 AAAs, two chargers... basically got two of those Costco packs).

Hi, I am looking at buying this torch as well as possibly the LED Lenser P7. The P7 has a "dynamic switch" whereby you don't click the light on all the way (ie u push it half way) and it turns on. Let go and because the light isn't clicked on, it turns off. Does the Fenix LD20 do the same thing? I can't find this info anywhere on the web despite trolling and looking everywhere. I plan to use it for work on my duty belt and I think this is a handy feature.

Thanks heaps,
Lee

Hi, I'm looking at this and the LED Lenser P7 but leaning towards the Fenix LD20. The P7 has a feature called "dynamic switch", which allows u to half depress the on switch to turn the light on, and let go for it to turn off. Does the Ld20 do the same thing if you leave it on turbo (max) mode?

I want to wear the torch on my duty belt for law enforcement purposes and thought this would be a good feature. Are there any other torches in this price range that people would recommend? I do like the idea of AA batteries and the size of the LD20.

Any feedback would be appreciated...

Regards,
Lee

JG - You have a PM.

No it has a reverse clicky switch, but the Fenix TK (tactical) series have the 'momentary on' feature. If you want to use AA's you might like the Fenix TK20.

Do they carry those in Costco stores or only online?
