Can you recommend the best 3x or 4x cr123 LED prefebly that costs under $80 to $160?.I know these arent the most popular cells but i have a lot lying around.
Ideal it would have great throw but also some good spill.
The torches ive been looking at are
a Romisen MCE RC-T7 rated at 750 lumens or maybe spend the extra for the Solarforce masterpiece.
Or if the UltraFire RL-2088 is also something im intrested in would it blow either of these out the water?.I know its dearer but if its that much better i may spend extra.
If you had the choice to buy a really good thrower at this sort of price point between say $80 and $160 what would you buy for the best bang for buck and why?.
Thanks for any info in advance.

Although I to think the M30 is a wonderful light it's really not a big thrower more about flood with medium range throw.

I'm not sure what range of throw you mean so actually it could be a good thrower to YOU. Are we talking 100 meters,150,200 or more? I don't own any other 3x or 4x cr123 lights so I can only comment on the M30.

One of the best throwers around is the JetBeam M1X and with extension it can run on 4xCR123.
Another decent thrower is the EagleTac M2CXC4.

You can find beamshots of many lights here, but note that the M1X is first generations with lower output than the current M1X.

Try the Fenix TK30. Basically the same as the Fenix TK40 (same reflector, modes), but powered by 4CR123, 1 or 2 18650's. If Fenix retained nearly the durability of the 40, the 30 should be bomb-proof as well.
