I use a generic Nalgene water bottle pouch I got from REI. It will accomodate the attached beam diffuser as well. Its good for casual carry but I wouldn't want to use it for say rock scrambling.

What do you guys-n-gals use?

I just hold it. I do have an old Blackhawk holster for the M6 that I used to use.

If you plan on using your M6 a lot, I really suggest getting a beam cover for it...the FM27

I got some pouches from John Willis of Original S.O.E Gear and his M6 pouch replaced the proto-type SureFire 10X pouch I had been using (production version is too tight apparently)

I also have M4 and M3 pouches - a great selection.

John's tactical nylon gear is well made and well designed - he can often customise kit to your needs.

I carried one for the fireworks this year, and carried it on a Maglite ring holder. Worked great.

Thanks Al,

I use a FM24 diffuser. Will the pouch accomodate this or do I have to special order? Will it be compatible with a lanyard ring and lanyard? How does it feel "on the hip?" Is the light off set so the head won't dig into your side?

You mean FM27 right?

Yeah, my bad. :)

The Blackhawk holster that I have won't fit the M6 with the FM27 on it, either...so it's either I hold the M6 w/FM27 with a lanyard or I take off the FM27 and put it in the holster.

I have a small nylon fanny/belly pack that I use when carrying the M6 for an extended time. It takes up about 2/3s of the space and leaves me room for a wallet, keys (in a separate compartment), an spare lamp MN15 and 6 more batteries.

Bought one of those and more recently bought one for my Kroma. Very highly recommended, and lots of choices on fabric, flap fastening (velcro, side-release, etc.) and belt/gear attachment (molle, belt loop, etc.). You can get exactly what you want with very high quality workmanship.

I've just been to find an M6 but it's the one in the 10X pouch (this can accept a BeamFilter but apparently production 10X pouches are too tight. Boo Hiss)
That means the M6 that's in the car is in the John Willis pouch. It's really raining and I'm not about to go fetch it - sorry. I have a feeling it may just accept a BeamFilter though. Don't recall.

I carry my M6 in my SO.tech Go bag

I have my G2Z in a Mod-U-Lock holster attached to the single cross shoulder strap, it sits cross draw across my chest. I just reach up with my support hand, and pull from right to left, and the light is already positioned in my hand for an FBI modified search position. I also have my Surefire V85 holster at the bottom of the shoulder strap. sort of a cross draw sword type draw. Or I can use my right hand to pull it out.

The M6 is now stashed in a Tactical Tailor radio pouch. I will order a custom pouch from that SOE Gear website. so I can use a FM27 beam cover and stash the M6. the pouch will be in MC too, to match my Go bag

It does not harm the finish.

It OK for walking, but if you have to run, i falls out. That will harm the finish...

Darn it.... I've got a Mag D-cell ring too.

Besides the holster from S.O.E. Gear, it's likely that the Wolf-Eyes flap holster for the 24watt Boxer model would fit an M6. Won't be a perfect fit since the Boxer has a wider bezel.

I recall seeing a sweet skeletonized custom leather holster specifically made to carry the M6 horizontally on a belt. I believe CPFer qarawol made it. Not sure if he still makes them though.
