How to???

How would a person go about making a 10 million CP spot light into an HID spotlight? It has a 12V 7Ah sealed lead acid battery and a Philips H4 halogen bulb in it now. I'm wanting to go a cheap route to make it even brighter. Any suggestions?

For a HID conversion, it wouldn't be worth it. Hid would require a whole diff setup. Just buy a 35-watt HID spotlight. You could put a higher watt H4 Halogen or Xelogon bulb in it, say 130-150watt, but it would need a bigger battery. I have managed to squeeze a 12v 12amp SLA bat in my old 10Mill CP which gives it descent runtime, those 7a batteries that come with it are a joke, i mean 25mins runtime tops. :shakehead

And Wifeless: Those 10Mcp spotlights mostly are too small to fit with automotive-HID: Not enough room will be left for decent battery-setup..

The only solution is the way I modded a 15Mcp Thor, but for you out of the question because ballast only is about $320.-

With that in mind: Best is to grab 140 dollars (give or take..) and buy the Amondotech N30: All your problems will be solved!!

All I did was take a few things out of the inside & surprisinly it just fit, coz its a tight fit the batttery doesnt move around at all, althought to get it out again I have to take the reflector off.

As for weight, I dont know what the 10mills total orig weight is, the 12v 7a bat is 2.65kg while the 12amp bat is 4kg so all together an extra 1.35kg. Not much IMO & worth th extra runtime.

srr no pic as I thru that 10mill, keep the bat tho.

I just bought a 35 watt hid from sams club.com delivered for 36$, that's going to be tough to beat.
