Is the FENIX LD10 the best single AA flashlight?

That's interesting, just noticed according to specs the current LD10 R5 is 3, 13, 45 lumens with 100 lumens turbo. The 'old' R4 model was 9, 50, 105 lumens with 132 lumens turbo.

I wonder why the current model is so different - can't be for efficiency reasons, the R4 gives 132 lumens for 1 hour 30, the current one gives 100 lumens for 1 hour 48. I assume they are now using ANSI measurements but it still looks odd.

Sunwayman V10A is currently my favorite AA light, it has a magnetic control ring comes in XPG or XML
Can run on 14500's and looks beautiful.

LD10 is too small to have a smooth reflector IMO

Just throwing these in there:

1. Xeno E03 (or E15)
2. Quark X AA
3. Zebralight SC80
4. Lumintop L1A (edc thrower)
5. Jetbeam PA10 (busts 650 lumens on a 14500 cell)

and so much more. :)

LD10/20 has been the efficiency king in the AA battery category for a while, especially in the 'medium' output level not to mentioned that it is economically priced.

I'll definitely suggest the lumintop L1A, is awesome, 5 modes, with its incredible reflector, is the most beatiful beam on a single AA light, that i ever seen, and very good throw to.

Try it... ;)

Good for them, Fenix is now a contender for me: 9 + 50 always seem ridiculously high for general purpose use (for me, at least).
