Is there a way to regulate voltage in a magcharger? I'm guessing not since searching hasn't yielded any results, but I'd like to know definatively.

Alan B is making a PhD module to control incan voltage. Is this in the range of your needs? There is a thread on it in the battery / electronics section.

Regulate it for what purpose ?

To dim it ? Or to put different batteries that are a higher voltage without :poof:

When I first posted back in July, I was thinking about using a WA1160 with different batteries. I wanted the ability to have different usable output levels with the regulated batteries giving a longer run time. About that time the 1160 was discontinued, so I abandoned the idea, not knowing if it were even possible, and not wanting to stockpile 1160 bulbs. I set up a Maglite ROP lo instead. I may regulate it, since it too could give a very wide range of usable output.

Sounds like you've been around the Hotwire rounds a few times.

I'll ask briefly if you've tried a Mag11 setup ?
WA1111 + 2x Li-Ion cells.

What you've described sounds like the AW incan driver.
It doesn't regulate in full power mode, but it gives you different usable output level. I love the things, I bought one for a Mag D, got addicted, Bought one for my little 18650 EDC, just bought another for the Megalennium I'm building.

An AW incan driver would be great but I don't think it fits in a MagCharger

You should ask him.

Theoretically, it should. The magcharger is suppose to be the same width, to the point that the same adapter tubes are used.

So width wise it's not a problem. Question is, it's position in the tube.
If you get creative, and things line up, it should work.

I've never worked with a Magcharger before, so really I have no idea.
Just an idea.

Ofcourse there is a way to do that but as of today, nobody offered such a thing.
M*g "C" switch and M*g "D" switch are totally different than M*gCharger switch and one can not be used instead of other.

One idea just occurred to me.

I'm not sure where to find one right now, but I'm sure they exist.
A modded mcclicky tail cap for a Mag D, then put one of AW's Surefire Incan Driver units in there.
