I hear that the Jetbeam Jet-mu (jet-u, jet-µ) flashlight gives a "quick flash" when you first turn it on so you know that it has set the current mode into memory.
I always use my micro lights in medium mode only, and I frequently am in a situation where I have to turn them on for about 10-15 seconds, then turn them off for another 10-15 seconds, then back on, then off etc, over and over, for a half hour or so. It would drive me utterly nuts if the thing "quick flashed" every time I turned it on.
Also it would seem that the flashlight would have to pull energy from the battery to keep the last mode in memory. How long does the last-mode memory thing last before resetting itself?
Can somebody tell me how this "feature" works?
