KL6 emitter removal?

Ok guys I posted this int he customs section but wasnt sure if there will be enough traffic. So i thought I should tempt my luck and post here where there is more traffic.

Im trying to mod my KL6 with a Seoul P4. I bought a P4 star from DX. swapped one of them jsut fine into my Gladius with no problems.

But the KL6 is giving me difficulties. I managed to damage the stock emitter. I got the dome off and the plastic part with the leads. How do I get the rest of the emitter off the base?

In the same vein, how do I get the Seoul P4 off the star so i can swap it onto the KL6 base?

Turn the KL6 heatsink (base) upside down, because you have to raise the seoul up a little bit to focus the reflector.

ok but how do i remove the emitter from the base? haha that is the first step.

A knife, but if you turn it upside down, you don't have to remove it.

So I still need a bare emitter right? I cant use the P4 with the star?

On my KL6 the only thing holding it to the heat sink disk was thermal grease and the soldered leads. As for flipping the disk over, on mine that wouldn't work because it's thicker on the back side which would put the LED in the wrong place.
