KX1 hand holding help needed

I have a E1l with the optic CREE head. I would like it to be brighter but I want to keep the lense/optic that is in it now. Is it possible to mod it so that it could be as bright as my Novatac 120T,keep the optic and not have to use rechargeables? If there is a way (here's where the hand holding comes in) I'll need links to parts and advice on how to.

For this to work, you'll need to get a longer body. An aleph 1.5 body would work perfectly.

I would love to get one of these working for myself.

Send it in to one of our modders, who will be able to change the sense resistor for the converter, and up the bias to the Led. The KX1 may be brighter using a single LiIon, but it will at least over drive the circuit, causing it to run direct drive for awhile. Not sure that is the best way to go. Changing the resistor is a better idea.

Whoops I just noticed the link to other converter. I think changing the resistor will be a better idea anyway.
