Please do NOT use those 3.0V rechargeables on our lamps.
They are tested unsafe by us, it is very dangerous to use 3.0V rechargeables on high current output lamps. :thumbsdow
ONLY use protected 3.7V rechargeable batteries for our lamps.
excellent safety point, but keep in mind that there are 2 different types of 3.0V rechargeable li-ion cells out there. The 3.0V li-ions you are more than likely referring to are the voltage regulated 3.7V cells, and I would entirely agree that they are not suitable for most flashlight applications. However, there is a new breed of cells based on a lithium iron phosphate chemistry that has no safety issues, that said, they still don't behave like CR123 primary cells, and there aren't any direct drive incan setups anywhere that are optimized for that voltage range, so the whole concept of using them can be dismissed anyways
