I'm looking for a about 30 lights as a corporate gift.

I want CREE LED, AA battery, Clicky with a simple user interface.

I want no logos on the light so that I can laser engrave my own graphics.

Anyone know of anywhere I can get some lights without logos?

You might talk to Quality China Goods or Kai or DX about getting some made with your own graphics, but keep in mind that the recipients of those lights are going to run them on alkaline batteries and performance will suck. Unless you're going to include some nimh cells and a charger with the gift, maybe you want to consider another type of light. I've been over this with myself several times and have refrained from giving out such lights for basically this reason. Even 1x123 may be a better choice.

My Company just bought about 1200 Single AA lights from DX with my company logo on the lights and boxes for gift based on my recommendation. Boxes quality is ok but the spong in it feels a bit cheap but at the price we are getting it's a very good deal. And I have received comments from my customer that they love this light alot and they feel that it must be quite a expensive light kekeke :naughty:

Check out the Romisen RC-H3 at DealExtreme. I'd provide a link, but the site is down for maintenance. It's surprisingly bright on a single AA alkaline. It's got a single mode forward clicky instead of a reverse one and won't tailstand. Barrel is narrow so only alkalines or narrow Nimh like my 2300 mah Tenergy fit. Duracell 2650's or Kodak Hybrid cells are too fat. It's only about 15-20% brighter on Nimh. It's bright enough on alkaline that no one's going to complain. Best of all, even though it is branded "Cree" on one flat, "Romisen RC-H3" on another, it's got a 3rd bare flat that could be engraved with your business name. My wife loves it, the switch is easier for her to push than the one on the MTE single mode Rebel I'd given her so I gave her that one instead. I've got a half-dozen of them coming for Christmas gifts. It's exactly the same size as the Ultrafire C3, small.

It's only about half as bright as an Ultrafire C3, but it's 4 or 5 bucks cheaper and the C3 doesn't have any free space to engrave unless you do it on the barrel. Probably will last a lot longer on an alkaline AA, too.

Edit: I have an apology to the RC-H3 to make. I'd forgotten that I had a 14500 in the C3, not a Nimh. With both on Nimh, the C3 is still brighter, by about 30-40%, but not 100%.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I emailed Deal Extreme but they said they didn't have anything without logos.

I'm guessing 30 is way too small a quantity for a special order.

I'm trying for under $30 per light.

If I can't get lights without logos, I may try for lights that are easy to disassemble and then get them re anodised.

We've got a laser engraver and machine shop etc. in-house.

You might check with the JetBeam folks about a small run of their CL-E v2 for you. Email contact is in the first post of this thread.

I have the new CL-E v2, got it from emillionsworkshop for $29. It is an awesome light for the price and if they'd manufacture a small run for you with your logo your problems would be solved. And your customers would be really happy. I read somewhere previously that purchase of about 32 lights would qualify for a substantial discount (ie group buy) on the previous version light.

Good luck.

Mike V,

I think there may be some Chinese lights without logos. But I have to check if they are CREEs.

Hope I'm not posting too late, but if the lgos are just painted on, a hit of aircraft paint remover should do the trick without harming the anodizing-- I got the "Dorcy" off my Metal Gear this way, just spray a little on a Q-tip and you're good to go!

CREE LED
AA battery
Clicky with a simple user interface
as bright as a Streamlight Scorpion
no logos
<=$30

That's a pretty tall order...
