I have a 5x reflectors set left $38. 6x reflectors is no more.
6x reflectors were customs made to fit Mag head.

You could use the 8x7135 driver wire like this for 6x led:
Just parallel 3 led in row instead of 2 led in row like the pic.

If you don't mind 2x led is brighter the other 3x led,
it still works, just wire the 3x led parallel before the driver, and 2x led parallel after the driver.

After all, a Step up driver like MaxFlex/Shark will be better for match 5x led.

If I were to use the 7135 driver the way you have it pictured with 4x Q3s each emitter would see 1.4a 3.7ish volts correct?

$18for two circuit boards, 8x7135 3 mode drivers (I picked these up from ShiningBeam before I used them up. Where do you get them from? They're one of my faviourite - perfect regulation, highly efficient, reverse polarity protected, dunno if they've got thermal protection but they do cut off at low voltage. And sensible output order with low-mid-high.

Thanx, no worries it's two separate projects. One board + xpg for me to use a 'poor man's multi-board set-up.' I may have to grind them down a little bit but I'll see if they pack well with a Luxeon k2 optic (or a lux 3) into a d26 form.
The headsink, optic and last board is for part of me mother's holiday gift. The 4 Q4 5B on the multi-board ciruict (powered by 3 'C' or 'D' cells?) to make a walk-about light for my mother. She rarely ventures outside of her house at inght but she really warmed to the idea during the summer when I lent her a duracell Hardcase ~115lumen xre head-lamp.

Hi DL,

I have a couple of questions still about this driver set up.
To complete the circuit from the first two leds the negative returns where it normally would?
And the second circuit begins by soldering a wire to the little spring on the bottom?
