Hey all, not too long ago I picked up an L2D with the Rebel 100 LED for a back-up light. The reason I purchased the rebel version is because I love warm tints. Well, I was suprised to see that my light has a distinct "pink-ish" tint. It is very obvious, you don't even need to turn another light on next to it to notice it. Has anyone else got a Rebel 100 powered light that has a pink tint to it?? I am thinking about contacting Lighthound and seeing about getting it replaced

I have four lights powered by Rebel and this is the color situation:

- Fenix L0D : greenish
- Lumapower Avenger : green
- Tiablo A1 : whitish
- Tiablo MA1: white

Thanks God I have been spared the pink tint, at least for now....:(

I purchased an L1T RB80 about 6 months ago and was very happy with the tint (very slightly green, otherwise nice warm yellowish).

I decided to get one for my girlfriend as well so I ordered a second (fenixstore) and figured I would pick the best tint to keep for myself. The second was just as you describe, a significant pink/purple tint - especially noticable beaming around indoors (a whitewall hunter's nightmare). Practically speaking, it really doesn't seem to affect the color rendition much, but I was a little disappointed.

No matter the LED, it would seem a "lottery" effect is ever present (for now).

I bought a L2D with a Rebel, it was pink. I bought a spare Rebel to replace the pink one, but it also came in pink.
I gave up and bought a WH cree and a cree reflector. Now I am happy.
