ok, so ive done tons of searching and reading
i understand how to physically do the work

what i don't understand is how to pick the right led
im still learning how to read a bin code, i think i figured it out, correct me if I am wrong
for a seoul p4
USWOI = first letter is brightness, letters 2-4 are color, and last is vf

now how do determine which led you need? do different lights require different vf values?

i want to change the led in the apex, i just got a new one, after i cracked my old one, this new one has a horrible tint to it, very blue/purple,
I want to get as close to pure white as possible, which color code should i look for?

also i want to change the led in my EOS, to gain efficiency, i use this headlamp a lot when i work on cars, and would love longer run times.
also what can i do to turn my EOS, into a nice wall of light, id like as much flood as possible

thank you

I modified both my Apex lights and my EOS.
I used USWOH emitters from Photonfanatic. Each Apex took about 10 minutes. Since I only had bare emitters, the EOS took longer as the emitter is epoxied on to a Star, and it was hard to get off. (Should have orderd a star-mounted SSC). I used stock reflectors in each case.

The Apex lights now have a slightly narrower beam, which is probably twice as bright as the original. The EOS has a wider beam which is also slightly brighter, so it's probably throwing twice the light but isn't as noticeable, since it's less sharply focused.

I had ordered a reflector for the EOS, but am happy with the beam from the optic.
