Is the P3D Q5 regulated? Meaning in any mode, will the light operate at full brightness untill its out of power to sustain that brightness level, or will it dim? If it matters, its being ran on primaries........ Thanks!!

So, please forgive my lack of knowledge, But that means the light will, or wont dim?

It means that for as long as the batteries are supplying the minimum voltage required for regulation, the light won't dim. So the light will stay at the same brightness level for a long time, after which it will rapidly dim and eventually turn off.

Fenix circuits are some of the best around, so the regulation is about as flat as it can be.

Thanks, Thats exactly what I wanted to know. This is my first regulated light. All my others are direct driven, so after 30 min or so they slowly start dimming. From what I've read on CPF, A regulated light should more or less stay at the set brightness untill there isn't enough power to sustain that level. At least thats the way I'm understanding it. So great, This should be a nice change. Might have to make all my future light regulated..:)

It won't dim without also flashing very quickly to let you know that there is insufficient power to run the light in your currently selected mode. Lower levels may still be available until power drains further.

Quite handy.
