New to incandescent lights....whats the brightest light for $100ish ?

I need something new and all of my other lights are LED powered.

I want to get something brighter than my Seoul powered Coast and Fenix L2DCE and it also has to be able to run on rechargeable cells!

So.............what should I get?

btw, I'm not interested in building an ROP.....

Hmmmm that looks nice.

I know the light comes with a couple batts but I'd like to have some extras on hand.....if I wasn't using the rechargeable li-ions....what kind of disposables could I use?

It'd be roughly $140 after adding the EO9 lamp and 2 extra batteries......

Also, how does this light compare to the Dereelight DBS? Thats another light I'm looking into..

How about a G3 or a 9P with RCR123s and an EO-9 or P91?
G3 - $59
9P - $79
RCR123 x 3 - $12
EO-9 - $16
P91 - $27

So, G3 with E0-9 and RCR123s - $88
9P with P91 and RCR123s - $119

I'm not sure if the P91 is good with rechargeable 123s. I have the G3/EO-9/ CR123s and I can tell you that it is very bright for the $76 I have into it. From what I have read, the P91 is brighter.

I don't think Taboot read the guide ... sorry Taboot that isn't a viable option. In a 9P or G3 it would be a pair of 17500s to run an EO-9, with no option to run a P91, that's why I suggested the Wolf-Eyes 9A, it is about the same size, (just a hair bulkier), but will take 2x18500 cells, safely driving any D26 lamp out there including a P91 if one were so inclined.

Sorry to the OP for the misinformation. Thanks mdocod for the correction. I will read the guide and keep my mouf shut.

So the G3 with EO-9 and 2x17500s is a viable option, correct? Should still be sub - $100

yep, I like the HO-9 for 17500s, easier on the cells. Keeps cycle life and runtime more reasonable.
