This months issue of "American Rifleman" has an article about basic shotgun training. Seems the trainers have discovered a 2aa MM fits the bore of a 12 gauge and a 2aaa MM fits the bore of a 20 gauge. Gives the trainee a good image of where the shotgun is actually pointed, much as a boresight laser would.

BTW - the MM is removed before the shotgun is actually fired. I hope.

I wonder how far a powder charge would launch a minimag from a 12ga shotgun..

shooting a round into an barrel obstruction intentionally might not be much of a good idea....not to mention the possibly of an explosion or simply destroy your gun...but that would be kool

makes me think of an old thread someone posted after shooting their arc from the barrel:ohgeez:

Because you don't have some two-legged idiot trying to kill you so that they could use your skin for a rug.

I find it even more amusing that the American Rifleman had an article in it about guns. The last time I saw an issue it looked more like a political publication and it was the last time I had anything to do with the magazine or it's publisher.

Hey, if a thousand-pound bear needs a firearm, why wouldn't I need one??

Simple idea to get the job done...Ill have to tell that to a friend who loves his shotgun collection! Thanks!
