"Osram has developed a small light-emitting diode spotlight that achieves an output of more than 1,000 lumens for the first time. That's brighter than a 50-watt halogen lamp, thereby making the device suitable for a broad range of general lighting applications...."

To be pedantic, and I am, it's 6 LED (die) each 1mm^2. The advance is more in packaging and marketing than LED composition. Still, it's a pretty cool thermal trick to generate that much heat in that small a space, and be able to get the reliability and life necessary to sell it as a product.

Oh no!

Yeah, I know someone sends me a tech page dated today (same one you got) so like me, I bet you figured it's news released very recently.
THEN the: "do a search on it before you post ANYTHING!" SS Wehrmacht come out. I have often wondered were they are when there is
six threads running on the newest Fenix model out. VDG
