seems to be as others have said.... I did not recv. any info on the charger though... I was wondering if anyone has one of these or knows the usage of it.... it is model number SE-H001 it charges two li-ion 123 battery's has one led indicator that when charging flashes red. on the back of the unit it says has a quick charge current of 300ma and normal charge of 60ma... but cannot find anywhere on the unit two switch between fast and slow charge?

so far the batterys have been on the charger for 3 hours.... voltage at start of charge was +/- 3v after 3hours on charge they are now at 3.4-3.5v... At full charge I think they should be at 4.1-4.2v correct?

On the back of the charger it says the charging voltage is 4.2v

If anyone has one of these and has the directions on use please let me know.... and any info and ideas on this...

Thank you for all your help

Hello Mark,

I don't have any information on that charger, but I am going to move this thread over to the batteries and electronics section.

You are correct. If that is a normal Li-Ion charger, the cells should end up at 4.2 volts maximum.

Just a quick note to anyone else who has this question in the future:

You can't switch the mode on this battery charger. It seems to charge at the higher current if the voltage is low enough, then eventually switches over to quick charge.

The light will be solid orangy red in quick charge mode, then start blinking when it goes to slow charge.

Just for info:
I have the same charger.
Today it caught fire whith two of the 123 batteries. I had it charging for approx. 10 min when it blew up and caught fire. Luckily I was standing there and unplugged it. For the record I checked and yes I did install the batteries properly.
I suggest looking for another charger or atleast "NEVER" leave it un attended!

Since Charger .

1. It gets hot with 2 BAtts , I drilled holes in mine to let it run cooler + I have an old Barton Heatsink [ AMD 2500 single core ] that I sit the charger on so it draws some of the heat away .

2. I dont see these lasting very long unless something is done about the heat . : http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=224010
3. Ultrafire WF-138 Mine is very nice . I still place it on that heatsink though .
