Re: Advance payment for limited SF-III run.

I think Mike mentioned, that it is 30$ more expensive, if he gets not
50 buyers...IMO still a good price. Just remember what a SF V costs...

Re: Advance payment for limited SF-III run.

toby_pra: Thank you.

Here is what the 1pc body of the combat grip will look like. There was a good reason for going with the one pc body. When the MCE is driven at 2.9 amps in high mode, both the converter and LED produce a lot of heat as both components are working at their maximum. Its critical to transfer heat throughout the body to the outside to prevent overheating and thermally shutting down. This was the best method for make a useful super bright one of a kind light.

I will post pictures of the standard grip soon.

The new SF-III is a bit of a PITA to assemble. When screwing in the gold plated module, I will be using gloves as I don't want to get any finger prints or sweat on the module so that it will look good eternally.

Mike Glad to see your bringing back my Favorite light of all time :) BTW I wear gloves from start to finish :)

Will the lights have knurled sections like the original design SF III?

TB: Yes, the finished SF-III will have knurled sections just like the original design. The picture of the combat grip was computer generated as a sample.

Nice! I haven't been over on the other site a lot lately...just wondering, thoguh, is the beam very different from the old SFIII? I imagine you lose some throw, even with the higher lumens.
Can you compare the beam to some of your recent projects?

Thanks!

Re: Advance payment for limited SF-III run.

Highly highly interested in this light!

Before I throw my hat over the wall and alot of money.

What are the 3 output levels going to be set at and what is the estimation of runtime at those 3 levels on 1 protected AW 18650?

Pending info, I would be after one warm white with standard grip. :) Thank you sir.

Thought I'd just repeat the questions. I seemed to of been skipped in the replies for some reason.................
Still very interested.

Re: Advance payment for limited SF-III run.

What exactly is the benefit of the combat grip? Does it really improve the grip of the flashlight or is it for mounting the light, or something completlely different?

Mike, Did you calculate a cost for both grips with one head?

It's a one Piece body.

Hm, the SF III's I own are three pieces lights: The head, the tube and the switch.

Mac, you probably mixed that up with the SF V what is a one piece body light.

I would also be interested in an extra combat grip for mine !

Re: Advance payment for limited SF-III run.

He is going to make the SF III like the SF V.

I've already started on the design of the body and the head and barrel will be one pc. This means that two different SF-III's will be made. one with standard grip and one with combat grip.
