reflector fit issue

I got the urge to build a m@g85 or m@g623. I have a 623 already and love it.



I purchased the KD cam/camless reflector. when I went to drop it in the stock incan head, the last ridge on the outer shell wont seat new incan d serial# .. I checked and the diameter of the reflector matches the stock one, so its just that ridge thats the issue



since something is wrong with KD's site, I'll reference the only thread I found with info on this specific reflector http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=231341



anyone else have this issue with the reflector? I can file it down most likely without harming the intergrity right?

I have one KD reflector and it was a tight fit, but not a problem. You could use a hand file or Dremel with a diamond wheel to take off just a little bit at a time until it fits. Be careful. You could change to a grindstone and cut a little off the inside of the Maglite head.
