I've adopted a Mag 2C that someone was building but stopped before it was finished. I can replace the dried out gaskets and such easy enough, but the metal itself is another story. It appears the parts were stripped and HAIII coated, but the electrical contact areas were not masked or 'cleaned' afterword. I've worked with type II before, but I'm new to type III.
Short of chemical treatments or taking it to a shop, what is the best way to remove the extra HA? I'm thinking brute force, power and hand tools.
Thanks,
-EG
