So, what makes an LF2XT 4x$ a Fenix E01?

I think it probably is. I am exactly the kind of person who will pay 4 times the $ for just an incremental increase in lumens, quality, etc... I was just wondering if someone could give me the comparison that clearly shows the advanatges of the LiteFlux.

Pages of both lights! I think I have poor reading comp., so I probably missed what is obvious to others.

E01
Brightness: 10 lumens
Modes: 1
LED: Nice Blue Nichia
Switch: Twisty
Quality: Pretty Good

LF2XT
Brightness: 63 / 123 on 10440
Modes: Anything and Everything
LED: Neutral tint Q4 XP-E with a PERFECT beam
Switch: Electronic Clicky
Quality: Arguably better
:hitit:but i already did

Why would you consider the 10 lumen rated output of the E01 vs about 60 lumen tested of the LF2XT... "just an incremental increase"?
+ if you use 10440's it's 123 lumen's, different leds and two user interfaces to boot and to cap that the LF2XT uses a clicky switch but best of all the tint is not purple

Programability, multiple modes, better tint, more throw and a lot of other reasons put the LF2XT into a different class. The E01 is basically a good keychain light with a long runtime and enough light for most everyday uses.

I think if you had the two side-by-side the differences would be more than obvious !

Yes, the E01 is well made and has a great runtime, but I would happily pay twice as much simply for a smooth and symmetrical and most of all WHITE beam instead of the blue-in-yellow blob.

Never mind multiple modes, I definitely think there is a market for a simple bombproof keychain light with a great beam.

Come on Fenix, it's well past time to update the E01 isn't it ?

Sweet!
Got it!
Who wouldn't want this light?!!!?!
I gotta stop reading these forums and finding out all the things I NEED.
Not only do I needone of these, I see that I NEED a 10440 battery and charger.
hmmm...
Is there a charger that does 123's and AAA's?
Do I need to ask that on the battery forum, or is that a quicky that can stay here?

E01: reliable flashlight, long runtime, single stage twisty with about 5 lumens otf, purple tint

LF2XT: also reliable, shorter runtime with the same brightness but probably way longer on lowest level, <1 to >100 lumens, perfect tint, extremely flexible user interface with 1 to 5 levels, strobe and beacon modes if you like them, tactical mode, auto-off feature (although poorly implemented), battery voltage meter and a pocket clip

can't wait for mine to arrive

Yes you can get SKU 14485 from DX that will charge both,or get a Ultrafire WF139 for 18650's and RCR123's and the SKU 14485 just for your 10440's which is the route I went ;) sorry no link to DX they are doing website upgrades ATM

I check search, but 404.
Has anyone posted a picture of it next to an ARC AAA or E01 or some other familliar size light?

I tried loading up the dimensionson sizeasy.com, but it is not working for me - keeps crashing the browser.

So, this light is going to coast me $60.
How much are these 10440 chargers and a a couple of batteries?

here's a size comparison with a mag solitaire :twothumbs

The price for the SKU14485 is 6 bucks shipped and the batteries from AW 10 bucks shipped ;)

Thanks for the picture HKJ.

Man, I would get the regular LD01 in a heartbeat if it was not for that dumb m/l/h sequence. I think I am one of few people who prefer twisty over clicky. All the lights I have (a total of 5) are all clickies, and the easiest and most comfortable to use is the Zebralight H501. The other clickies require being held between fingers and using finger nails to press.

Check that DX SKU when their site is back up and running. My records show its 14885? I could be wrong though, I was once.
And I twice

[edit]Run time on low going on, so far 8 hrs on Kodak 1.5 volt zinc chloride, yes I know cheap s***e but anyway almost 10 hrs and still going.
