Here are a few shots I recently took at Central Park in NYC:

And a few I took in several locations, from Long Island, Los Angeles and Buzios (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil):

Shot with a Nikon D200 converted to infrared by Life Pixel. I used to shoot infrared with an Olympus E-10 and a B+W 092 filter. The exposures used to be so long that I could not shoot moving subjects at all. A converted camera is much better in that respect, but it's still trial and error until you get the exposure just right.

Very nice. What kind of exposure settings are required for those kinds of shots?

Thanks for the comments!

entoptics, the exposures aren't that different from my unmodified D200, just a little longer. I usually shoot in aperture priority, and give it anywhere from +1.7 to +2.7 exposure compensation. Because infrared makes up nearly 50% of the visible light from the sun, summer exposures are usually much shorter than winter ones. I do some portraits with the camera from time to time, but I try to avoid close up shots of people with their eyes open - it gives the eyes a freakish vampire look that is not so attractive for portraits . But while it messes up the eyes, it's great for skin: it eliminates a lot of skin blemishes, rendering skin nearly flawless. And infrared seems to not care about race, rendering asian, black, and caucasian skin nearly the same tone.
