I finally got my Mastec 30 Volt/50 Amp DC power supply and had some fun taking measurements of some of my lights under a steady power supply as opposed to constantly falling Voltage from batteries.

G.E. Q4559x 28 Volt, 600 Watt Par64 sealed beam Halogen lamp

28.8 Volts.....21.1 Amps
30 Volts........21.7 Amps
31 Volts........22.1 Amps

I'll break out my single filament G.E. non-Halogen 1,000 Watt bulb later and take its vitals.

I would be interested in the amp draw on the 4556 bulb.
I just built another LK14 using A True RC 4000 mah 8 series Pack rated at 10 C, and the 1000 watt 4556 bulb.
This pack really holds its voltage. I tried one of my extra Q4559X bulbs and it insta-flashed.
I hope the 4556 bulb holds up. So far so good, but only have a few minutes on it. Maybe it's time for a soft start do-hicky.

No biggie, I'm more curious as to why my Q4559X bulb flashed.
I'm sure it was seeing under 31 volts.

22 amps is a walk in the park compared to the 4557's 35amps.

Wish these Lamps were 36v
