Looks good. When you go right, does it come on immediately or after 1.5 seconds? Having to wait could be a little annoying... perhaps have it come on as soon as you go right, then flash when you can release it without it turning off.

Part A: What's new on this light?

Go Right, and keep for about 1 sec, the light is constantly ON.

.

Hi Noiseikan,

Good news ,Spartanian 2 is this what I'm waiting for :) Looks pretty good,
But as for me waiting 1s to switch it permanently on is waaay to long

I would prefer to have it this way, as simply as possible;

- Rear clickie switches on-off

front ring:

- turn left and keep, the bright level down, release at desired level and it keeps it constantly

- turn right an keep -the bright level up , release at desired level and it keeps it constantly

- memory function

- soft click once -it goes to strobe mode

That's all I would expect :)

Hi. We have edited the codes, the time for ON and Battery check and OFF is shorter. The one in my hand is a original model.
And the two switch design is protected by a patent.

Hi. guys.
Do you think a string is necessary for it?
Where is your favorite to add it?

I hope you have checked your patents well. This is just off the top of my head, but SF has a patent on a dial control effecting intensity. Maybe your's works in another fashion though, may want to double check, it was issued last year, if I remember right. Just a heads up to check, it may be fine.

Thank you, Blacklight.
If surefire has no other patents which still in secret,
then I have checked and passed by it.
Some key different in the patent terms.
I also applied for patent on this new UI. Thank you for the information.

Hi Neo,

I put a lanyard on all my small lights - it makes them easier to find in a pocket, and easier to hold without dropping them.

Use two holes so it can still tailstand!

Good luck with your new projects!

Great. A lanyard hole will be added in the final sample version.
They will be started within a week.
I hope this light could satisfy you.

Will there be a choice of reflectors? I prefer a smooth, floody beam so usually like the orange peel reflectors.
If it's not too expensive, I'll get it however you sell it cuz I really like the user interface design, but I'd prefer a orange peel reflector.

Clickie, Twisty, and this Ring, Do you think the ring will be better than the other?
Hope to hear your opinions.
If you have any question about the UI,
Please note it here. THX.

I've been using a light with a thumb controlled pot a bit above the mag light switch.
If this works near as well it will be a winner.
The immediate advantage is that you can pick it up and use it, with no need to rotate the light to get at the switch.
The only downside I see is that with a separate pot I can decide in advance what level the light will be when I turn it on. The speed of change is also nice as I can do it almost instantly or slowly.

It would be nice to compare the ring with my setup.
