Spotlight without a battery?

Does anyone know where I could find a good direct plug in spotlight, that doesn't have a battery? I've done some searching but it seems they all have batteries, which I don't need. I would like to get something in the 5-10 MCP range....Also, what type of plastic is used for the typical spotlight lense? I'm instaling the lights in a sculpure and want to cover the lights with a clear plastic/glass that will handle the heat of leaving the lights on for a long time, and not distort or limit the brightness.
