I also took lux readings of the lights shown above. These are the lux readings I got. I am using a Meterman LM631 Light Meter measured at 1 meter. I waited 2 minutes before taking the readings. I am using Energizer Nimh AAA Rechargeable Batteries, 850mAh which were fully charged.

Does it come with a black rubber boot? The orange one is a deal killer. Otherwise very nice! Hope they make it with the Rb 100 version. How sturdy is the clip?

Comes with the orange boot. No black boot.

Clip doesn't seem to sturdy. I put the light in my pocket t-shirt and if you bend forward the light will come out. I don't think if you bend the clip more it will help. Part of the problem is the weight of the light. It's very heavy for an AAA light.

Thanks for a wonderful review as usual. This one sure got my attention, just didn't pull the trigger. I'm a little surprised it's that bright. Would love to see some runtimes. Sure it pretty.

Thank you for review and pictures. You also know the SS C3 very well, is the steel same kind of quality and mm?

Did anyone notice that the back of the module looks just like the one in the Tiablo A1

Hi Ernie:

does it only need momentary on the tailcap to change modes or does it need to be pressed in fully for a click to change modes?

Thanks.

It looks like a very nice light although a bit long. It's seems like nothing can ever dethrone the LOD in the light output department.

You're right about the LOD.

The LOD can take the 10440's.

The SS AAA max voltage is Input: 0.7V~3V (1 x 1.2V/1.5V AAA battery recommended). I guess somebody can try a 10440 and see.

This is back of the Rebel Module.

I just completed a runtime test.

I used a fully charged Energizer Nimh AAA Rechargeable Battery, 850mAh.

7 minutes 40 seconds to 50% Brightness.

Wow! Thanks for the nice review.
Actually I ordered one. It's good to know that I made a good choice.
A few more questions.
Does it use PWM? Does it regulate its brightness?
