standard bulb size (like maglite dropin) fully enclosed?

Ive got a flashlight that i just found at my parents house that they have no use for. Im thinking of upgrading it with an LED dropin (im really not interested in doing an actual mod), it fits a maglite dropin, the problem is that it pretty much completely encloses the module in plastic. the mag dropins are notoriously lacking in heatsinking, but even with one of those, the surrounding metal pieces in the maglite get very hot. in this, theres plastic all where there is metal in the maglite, so naturally i am worried.

could i use the mag module and just have it drop its light output even more than it does in the maglite? (i know this doesnt keep it completely within tolerances so lifespan will be reduced) is there another compatible dropin that will work better?

I will drop the same amount of output as in a normal Maglite, because heat isn't transfered from the drop-in to the metal body anyways.

These drop-ins should work too.
