For those of you who need a decent worklight here's the 2 that it came down to for me. I needed something with quite a bit of throw, was super rugged, was available through MSC or Grainger, and took batteries available in our parts crib.

The choice came down to the Streamlight ProPolymer 3C and the Pelican Sabrelight both using Xenon bulbs and 3C batteries.

I went with the Streamlight just to be different from our maintenance guys who were issued Pelican SabreLights. Unfortunately, I should have got the Pelican. They have a better beam and a brighter spot.

The only thing going for the Streamlight is the clicky switch.

So in case anyone can't decide between the two... get the Pelican

I'm a big fan of Pelican lights. I think overall, for what they are, they are some of the best lights out there. Streamlight has better "cop" lights but Pelicans are THE "worklights".
