- Surefire 6P Xenon

- Lighthound Tactical Bezel

- 170 Lumen "Premium Plus" BOGUSA LED Drop-In

Total paid…..$113.

On paper you would think the 170 lumen BOGUSA Drop-In would "visibly"
have double the brightness but from what I can tell outside in the woods it
has "somewhat" more "throw" over the rated 80 lumen Surefire P60L, which
I attribute more to the deeper dish of the BOGUSA reflector on top of the
higher lumen rating.

It's really hard to see any difference between the BOGUSA and Surefire
P60L for example; in a dark room against a white wall. For relatively the
same money as a Surefire P60L the BOGUSA drop in is definitely worth it!
But to be very honest I'm not getting the wow factor everyone has of
these high powered drop-ins compared to the Surefire P60L.

If the BOGUSA can beat the Surefire in room brightness which I would say
is marginal, the Surefire has it beat in runtime by far. Just a note: My
LumaPower D-mini beats them both in throw with it's deep dish smooth
reflector, this is very evident as soon as you go out into the woods. The
Surefire and BOGUSA however will light up a room better with spill light and
still a tight hot spot from each for excellent throw.

If it didn't look like double the brightness between the two LED's the
battery story told me different. 3 sets of CR132A's in the BOGUSA to equal
the "usable" runtime of one set with the Surefire P60L which I still have
going strong.
