Right at the start, there were a very limited number of ready built ones for sale, built by the guys who designed (and continue to design) this light.

These turn up from time to time on the B/S/T forum and are highly sought after.

Right now, theyre not building any because, hopefully, they are busy slaving away designing the McLux mark 2!

We took pre-paid pre-orders to determine how many to build, then built that many plus a few more. Then we set them loose into the wild and ... well... Please allow me to introduce Gander_Man, a long-long-long time lurker and major collector who McGizmo (at least I think he's the culprit) only recently talked him into becoming an active member. I believe he has one of the largest McLux/Aleph collections I've seen. He actually needs a rifle case to store/carry all of them.

Here's a teaser:

I will leave it up to him to post the images he would like, but I wanted to introduce him and give him a big WELCOME to CPF.

BTW: He has quite a few, and knows a lot about SureFire lights as well. I can't wait to see the pics of that stuff!

I arrived at the McLux party late, but managed to put together a travel kit that has served me well.

The first one is a bare aluminium PR head built by McGizmo on a 2x123 McLux body. The next one is an original McLux also built by McGizmo. The last one is a 1x123 body with three heads housing red, amber and royal blue 1 watt high dome emitters.

The TiN parts are custom modified and not available at the shoppe, and I think most of the older parts, especally the 2x123 tubes should be out of order, too, except for some left-overs.
Might have luck with the PR-T head, but I am not sure ...
