Had some problems with my old Inova Inforce white light so I returned it to Inova under warranty. They weren't able to fix the problem so they replaced the light with the new version. I got the light on Thursday it came in the Inova style hard case with batteries and a hex key to take off the pocket clip as well as the instrutions on use of the light. The new version has more output 225 lumens on high(vs 135 lumens for the older version), 80 on medium, 10 on low, however Inova replaced the reflector with a optic. Also the serial number is now on the pocket clip. I've used the light on duty since I received it via FedEx on Thursday. Very nice bright beam with a nice hotspot and plenty of flood as well. The led has a cool white tint to it with some slight rings in it. I'm not able to tell exactly what led that Inova is using but I suspect its probably a Cree XP-G. The light has the same type of tailcap/settings as the first generation, constant on/high, med, low/momentary high, med, low/ when you shift the tailcap to the right side it has SOS mode and further right is strobe mode. Also the tailcap button is much easier to push than the previous version I had. The SureFire 1.25" traffic cone still fits the new version as well. Overall I'm very pleased with the newer version of the light. 2 Thumbs up to Inova for improving a allready great light.

Does this mean Nite Ize (New owner of Inova) has changed their warranty policy? A few weeks ago they were not honoring any warranty on flashlights that were no longer made (even if the light was only a month old). This would seem to be good news. Perhaps it is safe to buy an Inova product again. Did you have any issue trying to get them to replace the light or fix the old one?

Tre, I believe that when Nite-Ize bought Inova from Emissive Energy, Emissive Energy retained the Inforce line, so now Inova and Inforce are two separate entities.

The Emissive Energy warranty will unfortunately have no impact on the Nite-Ize warranty.

Hope that made sense.

Got it. I thought they sold everything off. I looked it up and you are 100% corret. The inforce line is no longer an Inova light. http://www.inforce-mil.com/company.html
At least Inforce is still good and I'm happy to know Emissive still makes lights and has a good warranty.

I don't know if they changed their warranty policy. But I had no trouble getting them to try and fix/replace the light at all.

I just emailed mwolfe (at) InForce-mil.com with a complaint about battery drain over 3-4 weeks to kill a new set of battery's and the response was what was your address to send a new one.
It was the Inova inforce inf-b-w-rgbw, he said there was some that got out that had that problem,
so they are doing things to keep there reputation good to go.
