at the moment, hes in the mind set of " the £ store has a light thats perfect for me, it lights and i can change the batteries" lol i am going to convert him

Well if my camera will pick up in darkness, i will do some beamshots in video form, but if the camera cant pick up then it will be a shame. Im just trying to convert a couple people i know to buying good lights instead of rubish cheapo worthless lights.

Trademarked names are supposed to be used as adjectives not as nouns. So you should say Fenix flashlight(s) rather than Fenix(s). But say whatever you want.

we need night time videos, outside so the camera doesnt light adjust

I will certainly try and get some video at night if my camera can cope with the lack of light. And as for Maglites, i agree modding is pretty much the only thing, but since they are still that large, unless you are using it because you are a mod'er, then there is no reason to have a light that is that heavey, large and inefficiant, when there are other brands of lights including LED lights that offer what people need with less size and negatives.
