I'd like to assemble flat tailcaps for a TW4 (E1L body, KL4 head, one AW 3.7V cell) and an identical TW4 except with an OpticsHQ Cree head.
Are these the right parts:
http://theledguy.chainreactionweb.com/product_info.php?products_id=556
Aleph Flat Tailcap-Black
or
http://theledguy.chainreactionweb.com/product_info.php?products_id=557
Aleph Flat Tailcap-Natural (currently showing zero in stock)
and
http://theledguy.chainreactionweb.com/product_info.php?products_id=963
Assembled McE2S FLAT LOTC two stage switch
Assuming that the above parts are correct, what about the flat rubber boot? The tailcap also offers an optional $5 flat rubber boot, while the switch offers an optional $4 FLAT McE2S Rubber boot cap. Which one? How do these differ?
Also, I see that the Flat Rubber Boot is claimed to be "out of stock" when you check the Aleph Flat Tailcap-Black, but no such statement is made for the rubber boot for the Aleph Flat Tailcap-Bare Aluminum or the Natural. Is this Flat Rubber Boot actually available?
Finally, what resistor values are suggested for the above TW4 configurations to obtain a useful overall low mode -- say low enough to navigate outdoors, read something like a map, and look for something that you might have dropped in the dark, all without dazzling your night-adapted vision?
If I choose to convert the KL4 head or OpticsHQ head back into a 2-cell (CR123As for the KL4 and RCR123As for the Optics HQ) Surefire L4 configuration, what resistor values work well for that?
Thank you.
