didn't realized what this picture means until i read what the OP post. LOL
fiorano was being polite about it...usually someone would have posted something like...
I understand that some forums users post in caps regularly whether it be an opinion-oriented poll or a tangential discussion thread but its best to understand and accept the policies of this forum from the start.
Now that the silly part is done, have you researched on the available threads existing on the forum with regards to AAA flashlights?

Newest Hi Performance single AAA lights?
I see you've summed down your options to the LD01, Nitecore CR2, and Nitecore AA. These are certainly good choices, but they lack a common denominator. What do you plan to use them for?

Small and easy to carry to what mode of comparison? How small? try a tactile object we can visualize to better understand your needs. My Surefire M6 to me is "small and easy to carry" but it certainly isn't what people would think of as "small and easy to carry"
Bright? how bright? is this going to be your main light? are you going to be in the woods? A backup light? Will you be reading? will you be looking for things in the distance? these are some questions that should be flowing in your head
Okay, so you've decided these lights are best for your needs, I presumed you've read through the substantial reviews available from notable forum members. You need some more info from us to select a light from these three or do you need info on alternative lights that are in the same category of lights?
looking through CPF without a description or objective its like looking for a needle in several haystacks of needles. No one here can be of help if your needs are expressed in the vague manner they are at the moment:shrug:
What are my recommendations, well pfft...
Say if your going to use the light daily, AAA's cost alot overtime so eneloop NiMHs will benefit you in the long run if you go for the LD01.
the LD01, like its L0D brother is Twisty operation, requires you to cycle through medium, low, high, strobe, Sos each time the light is operated. No programming needed, no memory. I've never owned an LD01 but the L0D has a distinguishable PWM cycle in medium and low. Since it starts on PWM it may be a bit discriminating when it comes to used or old cells. Sure you could quickly cycle it to high which it would be direct drive from that point on it may be a hassle.
the Nitecore CR2 looks cute, short and stubby. that CR2 might get you spending as well, they cost about $8 in stores and not much yield in discounts online. I dunno where can you buy CR2s online in a box of 12 and cost $1.50 each like its CR123A brother. AW stopped selling the protected RCR2s sometime ago and frankly even if you do manage to acquire a rechargeable CR2 they come in very small capacities...hardly be worth it unless the light is a novelty. I know the LD01 is springed but all twisty lights tend to be battery crushers...and supposedly nitecore lights can be tightened down further despite the activation of the light...this may cause battery/contact damage in the long run.
AA is economical, its cheap, its plentiful [which all things should be in this land as with cheese] and its easy to find. Two modes, high and low, no annoying Sos or strobe. The downside is, like the LD01, you can't really expect the run time to be a flat line when using anything other than lithiums. That's because of the inherent nature of alkaline cells, its not something that can be easily cured by a dermal or firmware patch...one of those reasons why I keep alkaline lights out of my system. Also...AAs in florida's temperature and humidity have the tendency to wet its sheets, probably do to anxiety or overly excited about hitting the beach. Dunno, either way they have a tendency to leak in the lights if they're left in them too long so I'd be careful around them.
So what would I recommend? dunno...it depends on what aspects you want me to recommend.
