I've just thought I found my perfect light, but some doubts came across my mind. I can see from their internet site www.wiseled.com that this light has a massive spill? There is a 3D tour on the site, when you can see how it performes (would it really be able to lit the buildings shown over there?) . Anybody has an idea what the diameter of the spill would be at 200 meters distance? I'm looking for a good balance between throw and spill, something like Fenix TK10 for instance (maybe not so good example regarding lumens it produces, but you get the rough idea what I mean).
That Wiseled produces (as they advertise it) 2000 lumens. Ok, let it be 1700 or 1600 - still stunning figures, I think. However I don't need tones of light next to me, while my flashlight for several hundred bucks will not be able to illuminate 300 meters away target. Maybe, at this point some of you would advise me to buy a thrower, but I don't need one, it's just too unpractical for my needs. All I am looking for is 1500 lumens+ small size, superior build quality and decent throw with nice spill, kind of universal light. Only leds, no HIDs or incadescents. I thought that wiseled 2000 would be perfect, but, again - the spill

The cluster of optics that light uses is made by the UK company Polymer Optics. Find out what emitter is used in the 2010 version of that light and use the info in the Polymer Optics PDF files to determine how wide the spill really is.

I ordered one of the new Tactical lights on Monday, so I will let you know how it compares to the Malkoff MC-E which should be a reasonable benchmark as per your requirements, when it arrives.

I can hardly wait! Looking forward for some beamshots maybe...? :naughty:

I wil do my best for you, although I do tend to struggle with beamshots.

My Tactical 1800 has a very useful beam, that said, it's not a thrower so I'm not sure you'll get much light at the 200 metres mark.

I've been meaning to take some more beamshots which I'll try to do this weekend. I'll also try to get in a 200 metre shot for you, plus maybe one using my Jetbeam Raptor, as a control shot.
