Not a profound review but real life choices :grin2::

Seeing how handy headlamps can be, my wife wanted one also. Mainly for rummaging in the attic and finding something in the indefinite space of boxes up there. She hated the Apex (way too heavy) so I got her the PT Aurora (size does matter sometimes). Made her very happy and this was her main light for a year - even as an emergency light while travelling.

Till last month. She discovered my H50 and since then I lost access to my neat little zebralight and I got an Aurora instead.

At least I got a good excuse to get the H501 - if it actually will become reality.

I actually sold my H50 and kept my Aurora.

The runtime of the H50 is just too short.

Besides, the Aurora feels like it has more throw than the Zebralight.

Now if only I could mod the Aurora with better LEDs.

The runtime of the H50 is too short?? What kind of batteries did you use in it? Mine runs for more hours than I care to keep track of using a single Eneloop AA.

I had an Eneloop in it.

The reason was because I needed the max amount of throw to navigate trails at night. With that being said, I know that the pure flood beam of the Zebralight isn't meant for navigation or throw... but the PT Aurora seems to be adequate for the task.
