Best flood light for under $50

Hi,

I am looking for a light that has a very wide beam, runs a long time on primaries (2 AA's to 3 C), is reliable and dependable, and preferably plastic for under 50 bucks.

Any ideas other than the LED cluster ProPolymers from Streamlight?

Princeton Tec EOS headlamp with SSC P4 and Khatod stippled reflector. It's the best flood/plastic/reliable light I've ever owned. 3xAAA though...

You should be able to own one of these for about $40 if you are up to some simple modifications.
