LOD with streamlight stylus

I know there are a couple threads on this but they are quite old and I was hoping someone could save me the trouble of going through them. I know that the lod head can fit on both the streamlight microstream and stylus. I am mainly interested in the stylus. Does doing this just double the runtime or does it improve output in anyway? Thanks

It increases the output significantly.

cool, and I guess the microstream just gives a tactical switch right? the stylus seems like it could be really hand ywhen added to the LOD though, may have to pick one of those up.
