My friend bought an M6LT and modified the diode, it's easy - you need to heat it with a building hair dryer and use a vise + wrench

He put CREE XHP 50.2 3000K from kaidomain

then this driver was installed, there is no protection against overdischarge, the main thing is that it gives a very constant level of light right up to the depletion of batteries, like Elzetta driver + it fits perfectly in place of the native driver:

When ordering, you could choose the levels, we chose 2.4 A and 0.4 A.

Next, I found a local store where there are a lot of AW battery. But here the capacity problem. 6*16340 600 mAh = 13 Wh. Then I made a drawing and ordered a pipe, now can put 3 * 26650 = 55.5 Wh. That's wonderful!

Now it's like a pumped Maglight. But I have an idea to make a composite pipe so that can put 2/3/4 * 26650 depending on the task.

Has anyone else made such modifications?

Unscrewing bezel without damages is too hard on this head

If heat with a hairdryer and cover the lips of the key with rubber strips, then there are no signs, he looks like new. There is a black thread lock, it goes like clockwork when heated. Between the head and the body can be either black or yellow thread lock. Yellow is very hard to unscrew even using a hair dryer. But if made an extension of the handle of the key to 1.2-1.5 meters with a metal pipe, then this is not a problem.

Heat gun. I doubt any hair dryer would get hot enough to transfer enough heat to the thread lock to be usable.
